Simpler returns for Swiss Toll Box customers

A Toll Box is designed to make travelling through Europe easier – and that is exactly what we want to ensure when it comes to returns too.

We are therefore delighted to be expanding our service for customers from Switzerland, in collaboration with our partner EVignetten.ch from 10 August 2026.

From this date onwards, Swiss customers can return their Toll Boxes to EVignetten.ch within Switzerland. Our partner accepts the returns, collects them and then forwards them in batches to maut1.

Why did we create this solution?

Until now, returns from Switzerland had to be sent directly to us in Germany. This meant that parcels would frequently get held up at customs. This could lead to longer waiting times and extra hassle for our customers – whilst at the same time, processing these returns involved unnecessary red tape for us as well.

The new solution via EVignetten.ch makes returns much easier. There is also a benefit in terms of postage costs: returning an item within Switzerland is generally cheaper than posting it to Germany. Our Swiss customers therefore benefit from a simpler process whilst also saving on postage costs

If a Toll Box is to be returned from Switzerland, it can in future be sent directly to the following address:

Incoming Toll Boxes are collected there and sent in batches to maut1.

For our Swiss customers, this means one thing above all: easier returns, without having to organise direct shipping to Germany.
