Rosenheim, 24 June 2025 maut1.de launches the new PREMIUM toll box, a powerful further development of its proven toll solution. The new model offers extended country coverage, a more customised design, a premium service and fast express delivery included.
The premium version expands the area of application of the maut1.de solution to include Croatia and thus covers the most frequently travelled countries in southern Europe - ideal for holidaymakers, campers and frequent drivers. "The PREMIUM toll box is our answer to what our customers really want: maximum flexibility, modern design and a smooth toll experience in five European countries," says Julian Schmelzer, CEO and founder of maut1.de.
The new box is automatically recognised in the country-specific toll systems and works in all lanes with the official toll symbols - including:
- Italy (T) incl. Sicily & ferry Messina-Villa San Giovanni
- France (t)
- Spain (VIA-T / T / blue barrier)
- Portugal (green V / motorway toll)
- Croatia without Istria (ENC) - currently usable on the HAC network
As an additional service, the licence plate stored for the PREMIUM toll box can also be used to automatically pay the fees at selected car parks and parking facilities and conveniently open the barriers when entering and exiting:
- Germany: Over 200 car parks with ticketless number plate recognition
- Italy, France, Spain & Portugal: Car parks and car parks that operate on a Telepass basis and are equipped with the corresponding symbols (Télépéage/Telepeaje/Telepedaggio) - a total of over 1.000 locations
The charges are conveniently billed via the existing maut1.de customer account - without any ticket or pay machine.
From a niche solution to a travelling companion at eye level
In addition to country coverage, user-friendliness has also been significantly increased: The new PREMIUM toll box is available in four attractive colours and is on its way by express delivery on the same day if ordered by 11 am. A stable holder is included and switching between different vehicles (e.g. car, motorbike, small motorhome) is easy via the customer portal.
Maut1.de is also making a clear statement when it comes to customer service: Those who opt for the premium version benefit from prioritised email processing, a multilingual hotline and faster provision of the toll charges incurred.
Availability & ordering
The PREMIUM toll box is available immediately at maut1.de. The monthly rental fee is EUR 5.95 with a contract term of 12 months. There are no surcharges for tolls and additional services.
